West Road Concert Hall is located just a few minutes' walk away from Cambridge city centre, near to the famous Cambridge Backs and King's College.  It is 10-15 minute taxi journey from Cambridge train station.  We can recommend Panther Taxis for pre-arranged journeys or there is a taxi rank outside the station.

*Rail Strikes*

There are planned rail strikes by Southern Rail this week.  There is a driver strike on Tuesday 10 & Wednesday 11 January and Friday 13 January.  We recommend that you check this information before travelling.  For futher information click here or check National Rail Enquries.  Alternative methods of travel are listed below:

 

Travelling by car

From Junction 12 of the M11 drive approximately 1.5 miles into Cambridge (Barton Road).  Turn left into Grange Road, then turn 3rd right opposite Rugby Club (West Road).  West Road Concert Hall is half way along the right-hand side.  Please note that there is no car parking available at the venue.
 

Car Parking nearby

Pay & display parking on West Road costs 50p per 30 mins Monday-Sunday from 9am-5pm (max stay 4hrs)  Unregulated on-street parking can be found in Herschel, Adams and Cranmer Roads.  Click here for alternative parking information.
 

Cambridge Park & Ride

Cambridgeshire County Council run a 'Park & Ride' service from service from Madingley Road, just off Junction 13 of the M11 to the West of Cambridge.  Take the Uni 4 bus (which runs Monday-Friday) and alight at the stop entitled 'Newnham opp University Library', which is approximately 50 metres from the venue.  For more information, please visit the County Council's Park & Ride listings
 

Travelling by train

Trains run regularly to Cambridge from both King's Cross and London Liverpool Street.  If you are coming from the North, it is advisable to change at Peterborough or Birmingham New Street.  West Road is a 10-15 minute taxi ride from the train station.  Further information see National Rail Enquiries.
 

Travelling by air

Cambridge International Airport offers direct daily air services from Scandinavia by British Airways and seasonally from Italy and other destinations.  London Stansted is just 30 miles to the South of the city with easy access by train, coach and taxi via the M11.  Cambridge is within easy reach of London Heathrow, Gatwick and Birmingham International Airport.
