British Paediatric Neurology Association
Postgraduate Training in Paediatric Neurology in Europe

Back to Training

The Education and Training Committee of the European Paediatric Neurology Society proposes a cycle of 6 courses. Each course would be 2 days in duration with examination immediately following each course. It is planned that there would be 2 such courses per year within a 3 year period of training. For some topics, it would be appropriate to organise these courses jointly with other organisations (eg the European Academy of Childhood Disability).

Proposed topics are:

  1. Epilepsy and paroxysmal disorders.
  2. Neuromuscular disease, motor and movement disorders.
  3. Behavioural neurology.
  4. Acute neurology cerebrovascular disease, surgical neurology.
  5. Progressive, metabolic and inflammatory disorders.
  6. Developmental and neonatal disorders; genetic mechanisms.

Further information will become available through the newsletter of the Society, published in the European Journal of Paediatric Neurology and on the website of the Society www.epns.info.
