Harrogate has a rich spa heritage, historic charm and is amongst the most beautiful surroundings. It is an elegant, picturesque and quintessentially English town, which is justifiably proud of its beautiful gardens - Harrogate was the 'Europe in Bloom' winner 2004.

Harrogate has many restaurants, tea rooms and bars for delegates to enjoy a wide range of cuisine and the social side of the congress. And those who enjoy browsing in boutiques, antique shops and art galleries will be delighted by the variety they can visit in the town.

All delegates and partners are invited to the Welcome Reception on Wednesday 30 September and also to the Gala Dinner on Friday 2 October. One ticket to the Welcome Reception, to be held at the Majestic Hotel, Harrogate, is included in the congress registration fee. Tickets to the Gala Dinner may be booked through the congress website.

For accompanying partners or others who may wish to explore Harrogate and its glorious and historic surrounding areas, a programme of day excursions has been planned. These include day tours to several World Heritage Sites and other beautiful, interesting places within easy travelling distance from the Congress centre in Harrogate.
