The Mac Keith Guest Lecture will be given by:

Professor William Dobyns, Professor and Director of Clinical Genetics, The University of Chicago
'The genetic basis of neuronal migration: lissencephaly, crytogenic infantile spasms and mental retardation with epilepsy'

Keynote guest lectures will cover a wide range of subjects:

'Inutero and post mortem neuro-imaging'
Professor Paul Griffiths, Academic Professor of Neuroradiology, University of Sheffield

'The Zebrafish: A new model organism for human disease'
Professor Phil Ingham, Professor of Developmental Genetics, University of Sheffield

'What radiosurgery (gamma knife) can offer children'
Mr Andras Kemeny, Consultant Neurosurgeon, Sheffield

'Can we diagnose that a baby has been shaken?'
with brief presentations by Professor Helen Whitwell (Neuropathology), Professor Paul Griffiths (Neuroradiology) and Dr Robert Minns (Clinical aspects) followed by a 45 minute open discussion.

Conference registration will be from noon on Friday, 23 January followed by lunch, sessions and lectures throughout the afternoon. In the evening the Millennium Galleries and Winter Gardens will provide the venue for a drinks reception and dinner, with locally inspired entertainment. The galleries provide an excellent opportunity to see Sheffield's rich heritage as a centre for cutlery and silverware, as well as Ruskin's eclectic collection.

On Saturday lectures and sessions will be held from 8.30am until 1.00pm and will be followed by a free afternoon when there will be the opportunity to explore the city or join one of the organised outings. The evening's Gala Dinner will be held in the beautiful ballroom of the Royal Victoria Holiday Inn.

The Annual General Meeting of the BPNA is to be held at 8.30am on Sunday morning and will be followed by sessions, lectures and debate until a buffet lunch at 1.00pm and the close of the conference.
